The Galaxy S21 FE is a stellar option if you want to stick with Android. Samsung promises three years of OS updates on this one. The Exynos 2100 is plenty fast for now and should stay that way for the next two years. It has support for multiple 5G bands, and has a decent battery life. Other reasons to consider this include its marvellous 6.4-inch 120Hz AMOLED display and a versatile rear camera setup.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 is a very swanky way to prepare for the 5G era. Obviously, it has got a very fast Snapdragon 888 chip that supports all global 5G bands, has a large battery, and will get three years of Android OS updates. And when 5G comes, you can enjoy its benefits on its large 7.6-inch 120Hz OLED folding display that can be folded shut when you are done. There’s also a 6.1-inch AMOLED Cover Display for when you don’t need a large canvas.

Xiaomi’s latest high-end phone in India isn’t the best it makes. However, for Rs. 40,000, you get a phone that comes with a promise of three Android OS updates, a very fast Snapdragon 888 chip, support for 13 5G bands, and a large battery. The 120W fast wired charging is another good reason to consider, alongside its 10-bit AMOLED display that is a pleasant to watch.
